Sam Ware
General Manager: The Men’s Project, Jesuit Social Services
Samuel came to this work through a long-standing interest in social justice, ecology and ethics. He has more than 15 years’ experience in social policy and system reform. This included roles redesigning family violence response systems and strengthening support for victim survivors at high risk and in crisis. That experience drew him further towards questions of what shapes — and what can prevent — men’s violence and harm.
His work at The Men’s Project sits within the broader practice of Jesuit Social Services: relational and place-based work, grounded solidarity, and standing with people and communities facing marginalisation and injustice. Samuel is interested in how movements working to prevent violence, advance gender equity, and progress ecological justice can build connection, solidarity and impact.
Samuel holds a Master of Social Science, with qualifications in International Development, Urban Planning and Community Development.
