Gaya Butler is Director, Global Social Connections Investments at Movember, where she leads global partnerships and investment strategies focused on strengthening social connection and improving health outcomes for young men.
Over the past 20 years, Gaya has held senior roles across philanthropy, international development and social impact, championing innovative, systems change approaches to improve outcomes for young people at scale. Prior to Movember, Gaya held leadership roles at Malala Fund and Girl Effect, shaping global strategies that strengthen adolescent girls’ wellbeing and empowerment, alongside earlier work with UNICEF and DFID on poverty, inequality and child rights. Gaya has lived and worked across Africa, the Caribbean, Europe and the Occupied Palestinian Territories, and is now based in the UK.
